Passion Talks - Life's Not Fair

At the age of 34, Becky nearly lost her life to a rare cause of heart attack, Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD). While 40% of heart attacks in women under the age of 50 are a result of SCAD, the causes of SCAD remain unknown, and women continue to be underrepresented in cardiac research. For those who suffer from little-understood conditions, obtaining accurate diagnosis and treatment is only the beginning of their struggle. Becky’s talk will focus on bringing hope to those challenged by lesser-known medical conditions through patient-driven equitable research and collaboration. She will further weave in elements of her heart story that prove the power of prayer and the peace that comes with full surrender to God.
